An alternative approach to education
We are pleased to offer our new Forest School Session for children who are home educated or who have an agreement for flexi schooling. This will be based in our woodland at Cattows Farm
Sessions
Our weekly home ed session follows a child-led approach to learning where professional practitioners facilitate children’s interests and inspire their learning.
Our sessions are aimed towards children from 5-12 years (if you have an older child please contact us to discuss your needs).
We will have approximately 16 children per day.
Skills & Development
Children develop confidence in the environment and learn practical skills alongside developing their social, emotional, communication and problem solving skills.
They have opportunities to use tools, make fires and develop understanding and care for their environment and sustainability.

Sessions run term time only (following Leicestershire term dates.)
The sessions will run Thursday from 9.30am - 12pm

Block booking and sibling discounts available
We ask for children to sign up on, at least, a termly basis. This is to ensure we are able to adhere to the Forest School ethos and give the children the time needed to develop their community, their relationships with others and their environment and get the most from their Forest School experience. However, new for 2023 we are offering a pay as you go session. Sessions still must be paid for and booked in advance.
